LEGO has announced that the LEGO VIP Weekend 2021 will be taking place towards the end of November, from 11/20 to 11/21. Traditionally, you can expect a double VIP points promotion on all purchases during the LEGO VIP weekend in November. The double VIP promotion would be a great time to pick up some sets from the Retiring Soon list that will most likely retire by the end of the year.
In addition to double VIP points and the assumed discounts, there will most likely also be some Gift With Purchase (GWP) sets that will be given away with qualifying purchases. Although the exact details on which GWPs will be given away aren't yet known, a recent picture of a previously unknown GWP set was released online a few days ago, which might be one of the GWPs given away for the LEGO VIP weekend. It's a gray camera with a yellow film canister, and the set appears to be packaged in one of the special yellow GWP boxes. Considering that the packaging has a ribbon on it, it would make sense that it would be given away as some sort of holiday promotion for 2021.
Also, even though these are not expected to be given away for LEGO VIP Weekend, we will also be getting two additional Gift With Purchases (GWPs), called Santa's Front Yard (40484) and Mr. and Mrs. Claus's Living Room (40489), which are expected to be given away towards the end of the year, most likely some time at the end of November or beginning of December.
LEGO Black Friday 2021
Black Friday will take place on November 26th, the week following the LEGO VIP Weekend, andand you can expect similar discounts on sets that will be retiring this year. In addition, the LEGO Star Wars UCS AT-AT (75313) is expected to be released, along with a potential GWP for the AT-AT that has been rumored for a few weeks now—Luke Skywalker's lightsaber. There will also be discounts and promtions planned for Cyber Monday (November 29, 2021), but there aren't any pertinent details at this time.
