Last October, The LEGO Group announced that the Fan Design LEGENDARY STRATOCASTER would become an Official LEGO Ideas set—however, since then the information surrounding release and availability has been very limited. According to Instagram user brick_clicker, instead of the originally rumored 21329 being the long-awaited LEGO Ideas Home Alone set, it turns out it will actually be the Stratocaster (21329)—which makes a lot more sense at the $100 price-point that was originally rumored. According to their most recent rumor, the set will be available for VIPs beginning September 21st.
If you recall, the original submission was passed over by the LEGO Ideas Review Board, but then eventually made the cut through the LEGO Ideas "Music To Our Ears" design contest. The submission was created by LEGO Ideas user TOMOELL, who based it on the infamous Fender Stratocaster.
The original design presents the Stratocaster in a variety of colors, including black, white, yellow, red and blue. In another image from the Ideas Site, the Stratocaster also comes with an amplifier, complete with foot switch. The Official LEGO Ideas Design will feature the black version of the Stratocaster, and it's not clear whether or not the amplifier and foot switch builds will be included, but we should have some Official Details in the coming weeks. As always, this is merely a rumor and may prove to be just that. Be sure to follow us on Facebook or head to the bottom of the page to Subscribe and stay in-the-know!
