Some new images have surfaced showing 2022's newest additions to the LEGO Chinese New Year sets. In January, we can expect two new additions to the LEGO Seasonal Chinese New Year lineup—Lunar New Year Traditions (80108) and Lunar New Year Ice Festival (80109). Both sets are expected to release in North America in LEGO stores and on Shop@Home beginning January 10, 2021.
For the first new set, LEGO Chinese New Year Lunar New Year Traditions (80108), we're going to be getting a series of vignettes that celebrate a variety of Lunar New Year Traditions. The set will include 1,066 parts and will retail for $79.99—which is an excellent value for the number of parts you're getting with the set. The second addition to the lineup, the LEGO Chinese New Year Lunar New Year Ice Festival (80109), will include 1,519 parts and will retail for $119.99. The set features a similar blueprint to the previous waves of Chinese New Year sets and features a wide array of LEGO Minifigures all engaged in holiday activities in what looks like a public park area.
